姫さま my princess

バレエ教室に私より５歳年上の人がいます。

There is the woman who is 5 years old older than me in the ballet classroom.

とても綺麗で、先生たちも羨ましがるくらいです。

She is very beautiful and is admired by teachers.

体も柔らかく、まるでバレエをするために生まれてきたような人です。

She has a pliant body too as if has been born for ballet.

とても上品で、かつては「姫さま」と呼ばれていました。

She was very graceful and therefore was ever called "a princess".

私は姉のように慕って、バレエの目標にしました。

I adored her like an older sister and set a target of ballet.

姫さまは恵まれた才能のおかげで、これまで怪我らしい怪我をしたことがありませんでした。

Thanks to natural talent, she has not been hurt in ballet so far.

でも、そんな姫さまが先週のレッスン中、右のふくらはぎに怪我をしたのです。

However, she was hurt in the calf of her right leg during a lesson last week.

病院の診断の結果、肉離れでした。

昔々、重井の村に気立ての優しい可愛い娘と身体の大きなカの強い、立派な若者が居り、ニ人は恋に落ち、結婚を誓いました。
Once upon a time there were the good-natured pretty girl and the strong excellent boy at the village of Shigei. They fell in love and promised marriage.


そんな時、相撲の巡業が村を訪れ、素質を見込まれた若者は「三年間待ってくれ、立派な相撲取りになって迎えに帰る。」と言い残し、上方へと旅立ちました。
A provincial tour of the sumo visited the village at that time. He was found talent. And he left such words and left for Osaka.
"Please wait for three years. I will come back for meeting you when I become an excellent sumo wrestler."


娘は若者を信じて待ちましたが、約束の三年も過ぎてしまい悲嘆にくれ、海に身を投げて死んでしまいました。

一方、若者は一所懸命に修行に励み「白滝」と名乗る一人前の力士になりました。

娘を連れに村に帰った若者は、娘が身を投げて死んだことを知りました。

深く嘆き悲しむ枕元に、ある夜、白滝山の観音様がお立ちになり、そのお告げにより、若者は深浦の浜で、身投げをした娘の化身の岩を見つけ、五十貫はあろうかというその岩を、一人で山の頂へ運び観音堂に奉り、その後一生をかけて供養しました。
One night, the Kannon of Mt. Shirataki stood by his pillow that grieved deeply. By the divine message, he found the rock of her incarnation at the beach of Fukaura that she threw herself. He carried alone the rock guessed at 50kan(about 187.5kg) to the top of the mountain. And he enshrined the rock to Kannondo and he held a service all his life.

実は、尾道でも大相撲の地方巡業が行われたことがあります。

In fact, the provincial tour of sumo has been held on Onomichi.

平成１０年のことです。

残念ながら、私は覚えていません。

Unfortunately I do not remember it.

横綱は、貴乃花関、曙関、若乃花関です。

千代大海関はまだ関脇で、魁皇関にいたっては平幕です！

貴闘力関は関脇に名前があります。

１９０年前（１８２０年）の今日、ギリシャのミロス島で大理石のヴィーナス像が発見されたそうです。

それで、今日４月８日は「ヴィーナスの日」らしいです。

ちなみに、ラテン語では金曜日のことを「ヴィーナスの日」というそうです。
