「まわし」について about Mawashi

相撲をとるとき、力士が身に着けるのは「まわし」だけです。
When the sumo wrestler takes the sumo, they wear only "Mawashi".

「まわし」とは、腰に巻きつける約６ｍの細長い布です。

"Mawashi" is about 6m narrow cloth to wrap around one's waist.

関取は稽古用と取組用で「まわし」を使い分けます。

Sekitori uses "Mawashi" making a distinction between lessons and matches.

関取とは番付で十両以上の力士（横綱、大関、関脇、小結、平幕、十両）を言います。

"Sekitori" are higher than Juryo at the sumo ranking.

(Yokozuna, Ozeki, Sekiwake, Komusubi, Hiramaku, Juryo)

幕下以下の力士は、稽古用と取組用のまわしの区別がなく、取組でも稽古用のまわしを締めます。

The sumo wrestler which lower than Makushita does not have the distinction of lessons and matches as to Mawashi, and they use Mawashi of lessons at the match.

稽古用のまわしの色は、関取は白、幕下以下は黒です。
As for the color of Mawashi for lessons, Sekitoris' are white, others' are black.

関取の取組用のまわしには、さまざまな色があります。
