千代大海引退 Chiyotaikai retired

元大関の千代大海が引退した。

Chiyotaikai of former ozeki retired.

これからは「年寄 佐ノ山」を襲名し、後進の指導にあたるそうだ。

He succeed to the name of "Toshiyori-Sanoyama" and seem to teach the younger student from now on.

千代大海関は男気あふれる真っ直ぐな性格で、後輩力士からの信望も篤いと聞く。

He is chivalrous spirit and honest character to overflow, and I hear that he has the younger sumo wrestlers' reliance.

きっと良い指導者として後輩力士や相撲界を引っ張っていってくれるだろう。

Surely I suppose he give guidance to the younger students and sumo world as a good leader.

貴ノ花親方も異例の行動で理事選挙に立候補するそうだ。

Takanohana Oyakata seems to run for director election by an exceptional action.

相撲界も時代に合わせて変化する時なのかもしれない。

It may be the time that the sumo world change to fit for the times.

千代大海関も、伝統を踏まえつつ、新しい相撲界を作っていってほしい。

I want Chiyotaikai to make new sumo world in tradition.
