八重垣神社 鏡の池 The pond of the mirror

本殿裏の森にある「鏡の池」では、出逢いの時期と相手を占うことができます。

In "the pond of the mirror" of the back of the main shrine, we can know the time and the partner of the encounter.

何も書かれていない紙に硬貨を乗せて、池に浮かべます。

We put a coin on the paper which nothing is written and float it on the pond.

しばらくすると、紙に文字が浮き出てきます。

Letters appear on paper in a few minutes.

１５分以内に沈めば出逢いの時期は早く、近くで沈めば身近にいる人ということらしいです。

If paper sinks into the pond within 15 minutes, the time of the encounter is early.

And there is the partner close if it is sunk near oneself.

この３人は結構時間がかかっていて、そのうちの一人は池の反対側まで紙が移動していました。

These three women considerably took time, and paper of one of those moved to the opposite bank of the pond.

私の場合は、ご覧のとおり、ものすごく近くに、わずか３分で沈みました！

As you see, in the case of me, my paper sunk very near in only three minutes.
